Authorship
Anyone listed as an author must have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research and writing of the article. They must be willing to share responsibility for the research and paper, as well as to review the final edition before publication. Anyone who does not meet these criteria but has helped with the research or writing of the article should be acknowledged and thanked in the “Acknowledgements” section at the conclusion.
Any changes to authorship made during the peer review process or after acceptance must be verified by all named authors, with an explanation for any addition or removal supplied to the Editor-in-Chief.
Ideally, each named author’s contribution should be listed in a “Contributor list” at the conclusion of each publication (for example, “TS and SS conceived the study and were responsible for the design and development of the data analysis.” TS, MG, and SS were in charge of data collection and analysis. TS and SS were in charge of data interpretation. MG wrote the initial draft of the article. “).
